About the Show
Based on the 1992 film, The Bodyguard follows former Secret Service agent Frank Farmer, hired to protect superstar singer Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. The score packs in Whitney Houston favorites including “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” “Queen of the Night,” “One Moment in Time” and “Saving All My Love,” making it a big, crowd-pleasing night of musical theatre.
Know Before You Go
DPAC anchors the American Tobacco District in downtown Durham, with parking decks and restaurants a short walk away. Evening performances make for an easy dinner-and-a-show night — plan to arrive early for security and seating. It’s a busy season on the DPAC stage, too: Death Becomes Her plays DPAC November 10-15.
Tickets
Tickets start at $50 and are available through DPAC. Performances run December 8-13, 2026, and popular weekend shows tend to sell first.
