100 years of GHOE
One hundred years since the first homecoming in 1926, GHOE has grown into one of the most famous homecomings in the country. Generations of Aggies come home, and Greensboro becomes the center of the HBCU world for a week — coronations, step shows, alumni parties, and a city full of blue and gold.
The can’t-miss moments
Peak day is Saturday, October 31: the homecoming parade in the morning, then Aggies vs Elon football at Truist Stadium at 1 PM — that game is sold out per the NC A&T Game Day Ready Guide — followed by the homecoming concert at First Horizon Coliseum at 7:30 PM. The week opens with the coronation of Mr. and Miss A&T on Sunday, and closes with a gospel concert on Sunday, November 1 featuring Kirk Franklin and Kierra Sheard Kelly. The step show at First Horizon Coliseum and the alumni concert round out the marquee events, with dozens of parties across the city all week.
Plan like an Aggie
Book Greensboro hotels now — they fill up for GHOE every year, and this centennial will be no exception. Expect downtown road closures on Saturday morning for the parade, and give yourself extra time getting to campus for the game. See the official homecoming page for the full schedule.
