The concert
90s Hip-Hop on Strings takes the songs that defined a decade — the hooks, the beats and the verses everyone knows by heart — and rearranges them for violin, viola and cello. The Candlelight format strips the hits back to their melodies, so longtime fans hear the music in a completely new way while the room glows with hundreds of candles.
Getting to The Barrel Room
The Barrel Room is inside Triple C Brewing at 2900 Griffith Street in South End, a short walk from the Bland Street light rail station. Arrive early to grab a drink from the brewery taproom before the performance begins, and note that doors typically open about 45 minutes before showtime.
