The matchup
Charlotte makes the short trip to Chapel Hill for a preseason meeting between two North Carolina programs. For the Tar Heels, it is a dress rehearsal for the November 2 regular-season opener against Western Carolina; for the 49ers, a chance to measure themselves against an ACC opponent on a big stage.
Getting to the Smith Center
The Dean E. Smith Center is on Skipper Bowles Drive on the UNC campus in Chapel Hill. Plan for campus game-night traffic and use the university’s public parking options around the arena.
Tickets
Tickets start at $20 via GoHeels. Tar Heel fans can also plan ahead for football in the same week: see our guide to North Carolina vs Miami on October 31.
